There are over 1,000 exhibitors and they are expecting over 45,000 attendees.  Automation seems to be the focus at this years show.  I see many companies offering robots and even drones as a way to:

• cut costs
• reduce operator error
• reduce workers’ fatigue

This seems to be a way of the future.  Along with robots, there are many conveyor systems companies. Did you know that smart racking systems are becoming the norm? They are doing things with racking and storage systems that will blow your mind.  It is interesting how the label plays an important role in making all these systems work.  For example, labels as simple as black and white with bar codes have been around for a long time, but I am seeing more and more labels with color, and even labels with RFID chips are becoming more mainstream.
