Why Lifelong Learning Matters

Business never stands still.

Technology changes. Markets evolve. Customer expectations continue to grow.

One of the best decisions I’ve made throughout my career has been making time to attend conferences, trade shows, seminars, and industry meetings whenever possible.

Every event has been an opportunity to learn something new, discover a different perspective, or meet someone who eventually helped me solve a customer’s problem.

One event I remember especially well was attending a presentation featuring marketing expert and author David Meerman Scott. His presentation focused on social media marketing, which was still a relatively new concept at the time.

Although the technology has changed dramatically over the years, the lesson has remained exactly the same.

The companies that continue learning are the companies that continue growing.
