• Per BOX- 35 seconds is a conservative time study estimate for printing, peeling liner off & affixing a 4 X 6 shipping label, affixing a packing slip enclosed pouch to carton, & folding an 8.5 X 11 packing slip and inserting it into that pouch or manually dropping it into box before sealing.  (That is of course after they have been matched up to make sure the right product is going to the right customer.)
• 35 seconds X 1,000 boxes= 35,000 seconds
• 35,000 seconds/ 3,600 (seconds in an hour) = 9.7 MAN HOURS PER 1,000 boxes shipped
• 9.7 Man hours X $16.25 an hour= $157.62 IN LABOR COSTS PER 1,000 boxes shipped
