Zebra 8000T Blood Bag – Thermal Transfer Polypropylene Labels with High-Performance Permanent Adhesive

FDA-Compliant • High Chemical Resistance • Medical-Grade Performance

When labeling blood bags, IV bags, and transfusion systems, accuracy and material performance are critical. Zebra 8000T Blood Bag is a thermal transfer polypropylene label with a high-performance permanent acrylic adhesive, designed specifically to meet FDA Guidelines for Uniform Labeling of Blood and Blood Components.

This label material is intended to be applied over the pre-existing blood bag label for reliable identification. It offers excellent chemical resistance and good smear/scratch durability, while remaining suitable for fanfolding.

It also meets FDA 175.105 for indirect food contact, allowing use in controlled environments including sterile packaging and laboratory settings.

Material construction includes a 3.7 mil white matte topcoated polypropylene facestock, with a 1.0 mil high-performance acrylic-based adhesive and 3.0 mil kraft liner, providing a total material thickness of 7.7 mil ± 10%.

Temperature range: –40°F to 250°F (–40°C to 120°C) with a minimum application temperature of 45°F (7°C) and 1-year expected exterior life.

For optimal print performance, the spec sheet recommends Zebra 3200 or 5586 resin ribbons, both compatible with chemical exposure use cases (including blood, fluids, alcohol, bleach, salt water, oil, and more).
