The Problem:
Our customer was using a high-end copier to print their product labels at one location. These labels, printed on sheets for a color laser printer, were then delivered to a separate packaging location. Once the labels arrived, operators would manually stamp a date code onto each label. This process was not only labor-intensive but also involved several people, leading to inefficiencies and potential for errors.
The Solution:
After discussing the challenges with our customer, we proposed a more efficient solution: placing an Epson color inkjet label printer at the packaging station. This printer would not only print the product labels in vibrant color but also incorporate the date code in one seamless operation. This on-demand labeling solution was implemented, and within two weeks of being up and running, the customer was thrilled with the results. The labels looked fantastic, and the new process significantly reduced labor and streamlined their operations.
