Zebra 8000T CryoCool Labels – FAQ’s

1. What is the Zebra 8000T CryoCool label used for?

The Zebra 8000T CryoCool label is designed for cryogenic labeling applications where samples must be identified and tracked in extremely cold environments. These labels are commonly used for vials, test tubes, slides, and laboratory containers stored in freezers or liquid nitrogen.

2. Is the Zebra 8000T CryoCool a thermal transfer label?

Yes. Zebra 8000T CryoCool is a thermal transfer label, meaning it requires a thermal transfer ribbon to print. This printing method provides excellent durability and chemical resistance for laboratory and cryogenic environments.

3. What temperatures can Zebra 8000T CryoCool labels withstand?

Zebra CryoCool labels are engineered to perform in ultra-low temperature environments, including cryogenic storage such as laboratory freezers and liquid nitrogen conditions where samples must remain clearly identified.

4. What types of laboratory containers can these labels be used on?

Zebra 8000T CryoCool labels are commonly used on cryogenic vials, microtubes, test tubes, glass slides, and plastic specimen containers. They are designed to adhere well to small-diameter and curved surfaces commonly found in laboratory environments.

5. What type of adhesive does Zebra 8000T CryoCool use?

These labels feature a specialized cryogenic adhesive designed to maintain strong adhesion even when exposed to extremely cold temperatures and freezing storage conditions.

6. Are Zebra 8000T CryoCool labels resistant to chemicals and laboratory conditions?

Yes. When paired with the proper thermal transfer ribbon, CryoCool labels provide excellent resistance to chemicals, moisture, and handling, helping ensure printed data remains readable.

7. What industries commonly use Zebra CryoCool labels?

These labels are commonly used in biotechnology labs, pharmaceutical research, clinical laboratories, medical research facilities, and life science sample storage where reliable sample identification is critical.

8. Why are thermal transfer labels preferred for cryogenic labeling?

Thermal transfer printing produces highly durable images that resist fading, smearing, and chemical exposure. This makes it ideal for applications where labels must remain readable after long-term cold storage.

9. Will Zebra 8000T CryoCool labels work with standard barcode printers?

Yes. These labels are designed to work with most thermal transfer barcode printers, including Zebra desktop and industrial models commonly used in laboratories.

10. How do I choose the right Zebra CryoCool label size for my application?

Cryogenic labels are available in multiple sizes and roll configurations depending on the container type and printer used. Selecting the correct label involves matching the size, core diameter, and roll OD with your printer and sample container.
