Along with thermal transfer labels, we carry direct thermal as well.  The difference between a thermal transfer label and direct thermal label is that a ribbon is used in thermal transfer, where as in direct thermal printing it is not.  Direct thermal labels have the ink in the paper that is activated by heat.  Most uses for direct thermal are in the food industry because the labels typically have a short shelf life, six months or less.
